What do you say about a guy that has it all…and more?  Certainly one of the most dynamic and charismatic young firebrands to step into the Ultimate University ring in some time has in six short months of training become a leading success story for his teachers as he has quickly attracted the active attention of Japan’s top promoters while still in what many would consider his earliest days of active mat learning.

But for 26 year-old action actor/pro wrestler Van “Vansack Acid” Ayasit, such meteoric notoriety is no mere accident. His life shows that total dedication, never-say-die determination, and pure Thai grit can make success a certainty.  Obviously one of the most admired and liked by his Raw Center student peers for his deeply professional attitude and quick mastery of the sport, Ayasit has also begun carving out a parallel American and Asian action acting career, with over 30 appearances as a stunt double fighter and actor in a whole host of martial arts-based films including “The Ultimate Game” and “Once Upon a Time in China in America” with action superstar Jet Li.  And briefly interrupting his intense UU training to leave for the filming of his first major leading action role in Thailand, Ayasit has returned to resume training only to hear that he has been dubbed by Zero One to head off to that fed’s dojo for grooming, hopefully, as a future Japanese megatalent.

Schooled in a variety of martial arts and trained by some of the world’s leading champions in those disciplines, Vansack Acid is now bringing those invaluable and unique skills into the creation of his own squared circle persona.  His future plans may lead him anywhere, but whatever happens he pledges to pursue his life credo to “be only the best I can be….make an impact and be remembered.”  So UPW faithful take note…Van “Vansack Acid” Ayasit is an upcoming marquis name you will not easily forget…with a future that seems destined only to dazzle!

INTERESTING FACTS:

--Van remembers himself as a “violent little kid” who often got into neighborhood fights when he was picked on. His Thai nickname is “Soo” which means “fight”.  He was raised by his mom who soon enrolled him in martial arts training to help him fare better in those encounters.

--After many years of training, Ayasit has proficiency in a variety of disciplines including tae kwan do, muay thai, kung fu. wushu, ground grappling, jui jitsu, aidido and Okinawan karate.

--Van trained under some of the discipline’s best teachers, including kung fu world champion Henrick Henrickson, 12-time Bulgarian tae kwan do champ Stephanie Cheeva, Stephane Engelbert, world wushu champion and TJ Storm, action movie star.

--He followed pro wrestling from an early age. “Wrestling was like my father figure. I watched it 24/7. Brett Hart as my hero as were the other WWF stars of the day.” Now he is a big, big fan of Japanese wrestling.

--Van Ayasit has appeared in over 30 action films and is now anticipating the April Asian premiere of his first major “good guy” semi-comedic  role as Charlie in “Province 77”. He describes his character as “the muscle behind” the main character.

--Van has just been offered to train as one of the Young Boys in the Zero One dojo in Japan. He feels the opportunity is a “great honor ; both grueling and humbling but a chance to learn from many of the country’s wrestling legends.”
