Hey, hold your horses wrestling fans! Cracking a huge
bullwhip as he rides into our territory from the great
Southwest is this dynamic,powerful young outlaw dude;
here to lassoo all the attention he can demand from
the highest echelons of UPW talent.
Having
grown up in true ropinı and ridinı cowboy style on a
South Texas ranch when he was a youngster; his family
moved to the harsh and unfriendly California desert
during Mikeıs teen years and it was here that this hard
-as -nails competitor decided to commit himself to his
new true love: pro wrestling.
"I first
started working for an independent group out of Oxnard,
California and that meant driving six hours each way
just to train and start competingThen they moved to
Phoenix and I had to make a similar journey there as
well. But now looking back I can say without the least
shadow of a doubt: it was definitely worth it!"
And
what was it about the squared circle that made this
cowpoke want to give up ranch life for the hardcore
crazy world of pro rasslinı? "I wanted to prove to myself
that this whole new challenge was something I could
meet and conquer. After all, lots of people try it and
give it up quickly. They come into the ringbounce off
the ropes a few times; get slammed into the mat and
realize just how godawful hard it is. In most cases
you wonıt see them the next day, not unless theyıre
as truly determined and dedicated as I was."
Taken
under the wing of none other than the Navajo Warrior
to receive the bulk of his training, Knox now looks
forward to meeting his former teacher and icon in the
ring for future UPW matches. He also would really enjoy
locking horns once again with his opponent during his
initial Ultmate Pro encounter: Bad Boy Basil. "I think
I was really kicking his butt until Rick Bassman came
in and interfered..I really would like the chance again
to prove what I can do against such a super talent."
Whatever direction his career does take in future months,
however, one fact is undeniably clearOutlaw Mike Nox
has launched his own one-cowboy stampede and any UPW
top hombre who dares step in the way is likely to get
trampled and terrorized!
