It seems like UPW keeps attracting the best of young talent in the So-Cal area and with Joey Ryan; that positive pattern definitely continues.  Recognized already by several local websites as a top prospect, Ryan has become another exciting hungry mat lion here in our federation.

Describing his style as “basic American”, this very serious mat technician has already produced a number of memorable matches at our Saturday light shows and now has begun demonstrating these superior talents to our worldwide Galaxy Theatre audiences as well.

While a successful high school baseball player, Joey recalls his youngest days filled with dreams of becoming a mat superstar, (a dream that he still holds dear and is moving now towards with increasing rapidity). With three older bros who were already fans, Ryan recalls his first memories of this sports entertainment addiction when they tuned in Wrestlemania 2 and he instantly became a tiny mat fanatic. Spending much of his childhood play time with friends rolling around rasslin’, as they imagined themselves different WWF superstars of the time, Ryan turned fantasy to reality when he started actual training in his late teen years; eventually finding himself here at the region’s top wrestling training facility, Ultimate University.

With his skills ever continuing to expand, whenever Joey Ryan enters the ring, an outstanding ring performance is guaranteed, full of new and unusual moves.

“I love wrestling and would never want to do anything else” claims this new UPW standout, and the proof of that deep love and commitment is evident to our fans everytime he locks up with our fed’s other top contenders.
