Of all the young tigers
shaking up the UPW jungle, none can lay more claim to
being an Ultimate Pro Wrestling original than can Funky
Billy Kim. Just emerging out of teen Dom, Kim can boast
what few others here can…he has been a staple here both
in major and minor events since his very first
appearance the first ever weekly light show; (where he
met Andy Van Dam).
A
lifelong fan of the sport he was one of the original
trainees as well at Ultimate University; which he
enrolled in shortly after graduating high school. Since
then over the past several years he has impressed fans
and observers in the know with his ease in the ring; his
high flying and martial arts moves and lately, his new
aggressiveness in going after what he wants at all
costs.
Teamed in recent months with longtime friend and fellow
Filipino Blazin’ Benny Chong, the pair have already
shown a fierce competitiveness in the tag team ranks
here with the future apparently theirs to choose.
“Let the world know that whether it be in the single
ranks or as a tag team member, I will make my mark,” he
now loudly claims. And based on his amazing growth so
far and emergence as a major player here in our fed, who
can dare doubt those determined words?
