From a career enforcing the laws of society in the streets to one enforcing his own brand of law in the squared circle; that is the unconventional path that has now brought this power-packed bruiser to the UPW arena.  Raised in rural North Carolina, Lamar “Sabbath” Tinnin remembers the days when he and his brothers would head off to local arenas to see 80s NWA and WWF stars, and where he’d “beat up on stuffed animals at home” to simulate his own wrestling career fantasy.  A big kid, weighing 335 pounds in high school, he was soon a football standout, but started hitting the weights seriously after deciding to enter police training and being encouraged by a rookie school instructor to take up bodybuilding and martial arts, both of which he soon excelled at.  (In fact, he dropped nearly 90 pounds in only six months before his first competitions).

With a standout career as a patrolman and squad leader already behind him, Sabbath was led into the world of pro wrestling when he ran into WCW star Lodi, who as a fellow high school alumni, encouraged him to think seriously of his chances as a sports entertainer. Seeing a Flex Magazine profile about bodybuilding champ Paul Dillet in which UPW was mentioned prominently, (Dillet and friend Aaron Baker were trainees at the time), the aspiring rookie made that crucial call to Ultimate University and soon was on his way out West to enter our prestigious facility.

Now making his debut at recent Galaxy shows, Sabbath continues training at UU religiously, and continues to fine-tune his ever-improving skills, with a future now that seems without bounds.

INTERESTING FACTS:

*** Sabbath is a lifelong fan of comics and classic monster films, preferring those characters which have a dark side.  His own mat persona arises from that interest. His favorite comic book character is Batman and his favorite cartoon character is Goku from Dragonball Z.

***As a cop, Sabbath was awarded several commendations for heroism.

*** He also has been a standout in bodybuilding, placing high in those competitions he has entered. He also holds a black belt in mixed martial arts, and has won several contests, including a difficult vale tudo.

***Sabbath hopes to someday compete in Japan and to get the chance to wrestle in future Galaxy shows and in other feds as well.  He debuted for UPW in August 2002 in the University Roulette match.
