Growing up in the Los Angeles area, Hellman describes himself as both a hard worker in the ring and a harder rocker in his spare time. “It’s kind of weird,” he asserts, “but I really identify myself with an attitude that’s closer to Kid Rock than anyone else I can think of. I am kicked back, cool and relaxed when I enter the squared circle but I can shift, just like him, within a moment to going absolutely ballistic. I adapt to whatever is necessary to do to succeed as soon as that bell rings.” For Hellman, who, when not attacking his training with absolutely ferocity, loves to blast heavy metal guitar and pound percussion, as well as write his own tunes,  life has been just that…full of intensity and the rush of meeting and beating challenges as they bombard his youthful life.  A super-active kid who filled his days with the thrill of constant activity, be it rock-climbing, camping, shooting hoops in the backyard or excelling at baseball, soccer, football, amateur wrestling or in the weight room, the constant dream still remained to one day meld his developing great look and his already amazing athleticism into a super-successful sports entertainment future. Becoming a tremendously dedicated Ultimate U student since his sign-up six months ago, it wasn’t long before his instructors and promoter Rick Bassman noticed something really special here and gave Hellman the chance to debut at light shows and recently on our major UPW cards. Now he looks forward to truly reaching his mat destiny and gaining the recognition he has heretofore only dared to imagine. Inspired by consummate talents like Chris Benoit, who possess that same rare combination of unleashed intensity, unbridled power and explosiveness and unbeatable charisma, Hellman certainly seems a safe put-your-money-down bet to burn up future Ultimate pro arenas in little or no time. INTERESTING FACTS ***When not in the ring, Hellman dabbles in playing drums, guitar and writing music. He also has played in friends’ hard-rock bands. ***Tore his ACL during a successful high school football career, but with the aid of a knee brace, insisted on completing the season anyway.
