He said it best himself. “If it wasn’t for pro-wrestling, I’d be either in jail or dead!”  As a youthful member of Asian San Diego gangs, it indeed was this sport that turned around a young guy bound for a dead end future.  Now already a notorious name in local indy mat circles, (he has been voted Wrestler of the Month and Rookie of the Year by the respected So-Cal wrestling website), B-Boy has already made his name numerous times here in UPW as Lightweight Champ and co-holder of the Tag Team belt.

Having spent much of his childhood on the road with a dad who was a member of the Army, (including three years in the Philippines), it was hearing about a local training facility in his teenage San Diego hometown that originally provided a way out for this talented matman; as he focussed his anger into a positive direction.

Inspired initially by smaller-sized mat titans like Shawn Micheals and then Ricky Steamboat, the young dynamo early on saw a “revolution in the ring” coming where the cruiserweights were now finally being given their place in the sun; and this dreamer turned mover decided to take full advantage of that opportunity; hitting Ultimate Pro Wrestling in early 2000 and dominating the talented class of rookies ever since.

A student of a variety of mat styles from brawling to flying to Japanese martial arts, B-Boy takes pride in his ability to “twist typical moves around into something that is unique and my own;” a byproduct that is both unconventional and refreshing to observe.

Now a potent force in at least two vital divisions of UPW action; watch this non-stop young talent as he fulfills his original threat to his fellow matmen, “You write it down. You take a picture. And you damn sure will remember my name!”
