UPW is proud to announce that Tom Howard recently inked an annual deal with Japan's upstart Zero-One promotion.  A mat wars veteran, "The Green Beret" Howard is now in the spotlite many feel he has long-deserved.  With recent victories in Tokyo over the NWA's Steve Corino & Gary Steele (teaming w/Samoa Joe) and Jossie Dempsey, Howard is getting better and better.  Congratulations Tom!

UPW President Rick Bassman announced today that along with Howard, Sylvester "Predator" Terkay and "Samoa" Joe Seanoa will both return to Japan for Zero-One's April - May tour.  Joe and Sylvester continue to impress in the Land of the Rising Sun and are well on their ways to becoming fixtures on the Japanese scene.

Native Blood goes back to Japan.  Evolution and Hollywood set to debut.

UPW Tag Team Champs Evolution will be joining the UPW contingent on the April-May schedule.  Their hard-hitting, high-flying style should get over great with the appreciative Japanese fans Native Blood made their Zero-One debut in March with an impressive showing against Zero-One superstars Masato Tanaka and Shinjiro Otani.  So impressive in fact that Navajo Warrior and Ghostwalker have been invited back to Zero-One for the late May tour!  Congrats NB!  UPW also announced today that its own Don "Hollywood" Yates will debut his impressive brand of mat mayhem for Zero-One on its June tour!

UPW began its association with Zero-One in June of 2001.  To date, in addition to the great warriors named above, Nathan Jones, Mikey Henderson, Matt "Horshu" Wiese, Keiji Sakoda and The Urban Outlaws have appeared for Zero-One under the UPW banner.

With more and more dates being added by Zero-One, we expect many of these stars to return to Japan, as well as many UPW stars to make their debuts there, in the continuing UPW vs ZERO-ONE vs NWA feud!
