WWE calls the legendary Madison Square Garden home. Extreme Championship Wrestling housed its brutal brand of anarchy within the confines of a bingo hall affectionately coined “The ECW Arena”. The NWA once thrived in The Omni in Atlanta, GA. After blockbuster live events from The Grove of Anaheim and Buffalo Bill’s Star of The Desert Arena in Primm Nevada, the time has come for UPW to return to its old stomping grounds (literally) in the form of The Galaxy Theatre. This venue has been the epicenter for many of UPW’s most historic matches and moments. It was within the walls of The Galaxy where current Superstars including John Cena, Victoria, Heidenreich, and Jesus Aguilera first stepped into the squared circle to display their talent and toughness before a live audience. UPW fans have flocked to The Galaxy over the past six years, and have thrilled to memorable dream matches including Christopher Daniels vs Kurt Angle, Mikey Henderson vs Rob Van Dam, The Ballard Brothers vs The Hardy Boys, Frankie Kazarian & Nova vs Edge & Christian to name a few. All time greats and legends of wrestling including The Road Warriors and Rowdy Roddy Piper have also graced The Galaxy. The vast majority of UPW’s championship history has been made in this building which UPW calls home. Championship gold from the various divisions has changed hands on no less than 29 occasions at The Galaxy! This may not bode well for the fighting champions who will put their respective gold up for grabs in a few short weeks; will more history be made on February 23? One thing is for certain, UPW will return home in grand fashion. Some huge matches have already been signed with plenty more to come. Below is the current lineup.
